Cookie Dough Easter Eggs

Ingredients;
200g plain flour
115g unsalted butter
3 tablespoons plain yogurt
55g white sugar
110g light brown sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
50g milk chocolate chips
2 large white chocolate bars (melted)
a selection of decorations (optional)

Method;
1. Beat the butter and both types of sugar until light and fluffy then mix in the vanilla essence.
2. Add in the 3 table spoons of yogurt and mix.
3. Gradually add the flour bit by bit, incorporating well at each step. Once well combined stir in your chocolate chips.
4. Form dough into egg shapes on a baking sheet lined tray and pop in the fridge for them to set overnight.
5. (the next day) Melt your white chocolate with your preferred method and leave to cool for 15-20 minutes.
6. Remove your cookie dough eggs 2 or 3 at a time from the fridge and coat them in chocolate. Leave them on another baking sheet to allow the chocolate to harden slightly. Repeat until each one is completely coated.
7. Decorate them!

Although these take a fair amount of prep work they're pretty easy to make. I had planned to go all out on the decoration and add food colouring to the chocolate to make multi coloured ones but time got the better of me unfortunately. That's always an idea if you want to have a go at these yourself though! Cookie dough in any form makes me a very happy bunny (lol) so I'll be joyfully snacking on these over the weekend - hope you have a lovely Easter.

Have you been baking anything for Easter?
