Current Favourites #1

I rarely ever do a favourites style posts on here but I have had a serious amounts of love for all of these things and felt they deserved the lime light - so here they are!

Words can barely describe how much I love this lipstick. From the formula to the colour itself it is heaven in a tube. I've been using it almost daily and if you follow me on Instagram (@aimeysherwood - little bit of a shameless self promo for ya) you'd have seen me wearing it in pretty much every selfie. I won't go into too much detail as there'll be a review up of all of my liquid lipsticks from Anastasia Beverly Hills on Friday, but - spoiler alert, they are incredible.

Surprisingly, this is the first product I've ever tried from Illamasqua and so far so good. It's a beautiful formula that's light and natural but packs a punch with coverage. It's everything I want from a foundation. If you wanna see a full review - let me know!

Also in base favourites is a pressed powder from YSL. I have a lot of powders. I have tried at least one from every brand and this one is most definitely up there with my all time favourites. It gives your skin a stunning natural matte finish, with a hint of radiance, all without a trace of oil. It doesn't last all day but it does stay put for around 4/5 hours which is pretty good, at least for my skin.

Red Cherry Lashes are some of my all time favourites. They make up most of my lash collection and for good reason. They're fab. After having these for almost a month I've barely used anything else. They are the perfect balance of fluttery and natural with a teeny hint of sex goddess. I've been loving them a lot and can't see it changing for a while. If you haven't tried Red Cherry Lashes before go and rectify that immediately. If you need any recommendations these, the 415's, 747 S's and 218's are all gorgeous.

Benefit 3D Browtones £18.50

I picked up most of the Benefit brow range when it launched (I am so sorry I haven't got round to posting that but it's coming - I promise!) and I was obsessed with it all pretty much instantaneously. The only product I couldn't really make my mind up on was this. The idea of shiny or, god forbid, glittery eyebrows terrified me but that's not the case with this at all. It acts more of a natural highlighter, giving really beautiful and flattering dimension to your brows. I use this with a very light hand, as I can imagine it not looking so great if you put too much on, and I've been really enjoying it. I like that it's a new product to the market, or is it to my knowledge anyway, and even though it is kind of a bit gimmicky it genuinely works. Good job Benefit.

What products have you been loving recently? Have you tried any of these?

  1. Nice picks! I would love to hear a review on the Illamasqua foundation. I've never tried anything from them before but I've heard so much about the brand. The Benefit 3D Browtones sounds really nice too. I may have to pick that up next time :)
