The £13 Brushes // Dupe

Artis brushes have been all over the place recently. They are a new, interesting concept on the traditional make up brush and I have been dying to try them. Starting at $42 for just one brush though that was never going to happen in a hurry so instead, I took to the internet to find a dupe and came across this cute, literally identical set from Amazon for a whopping £13.

Obviously not owning the originals I can't compare quality but these are pretty freakin' good. For £13 I wasn't expecting great quality, I would've happily settled for okay, but to my surprise they're actually really great. Each one is incredibly soft and densely packed with fibres which gives such a beautiful finish.

I haven't played around with all of them very much apart from to test the quality, but I am a big fan of all the oval brushes. I've been using them for applying all my face products and I fall more in love every time I use them. All the brushes seem to work just as well with cream, liquid and powder products and I am yet to be disappointed at all.

The only irritating thing is that none of the brushes are marked with a name or anything so while they provide a key for what brush does what, it's completely useless. Here's my opinion on what I think each one is best for. God only knows if I'm right or not but here we go.
(grouped by size & type)

Large Oval (10 - 8)
-
Foundation, Powder, Bronzer, Blush

Oval (7 - 6)
-
Eyeshadow, Concealer, Contour

Linear (1 - 3)
-
Eyeshadow, Brows, Liner, Defined Contour

Circle (1 - 2)
-
Lips, Eyeshadow, Concealer

I'm super happy with these. From the copper handle to the quality. If like me you've been itching to give the Artis brushes a go I'd highly recommend trying these out first. Safe to say I'm impressed and they officially get my stamp of approval.

What do you think of these brushes?

  5. I find the look of these brushes really bizarre and they don't look like they'd be easy to apply but I've heard so many good things about this new style!
