Beauty Haul #5

Regular beauty based programming is resuming with one of my fave posts - a make up haul.

Most of these bits were picked up in Sephora in Paris, but I did also had a mini splurge over the weekend so there's a couple of Boots & Debenhams purchases thrown in for good measure.

First up, brushes - and a beauty blender. The beauty blender purchase was one of the few I actually needed. My one is looking a little worse for wear these days and I'm over the moon I have a new one to ruin. The ABH brush is #23 and is the most beautiful brush I have ever used to apply highlighter. It picks up the perfect amount of product and diffuses and blends it to leave you looking like you're a naturally glowing goddess.

And lastly, the Real Techniques Bold Metals brushes. These were the only 2 of the whole collection that I didn't have. I'm not gonna lie to you I did mostly buy them to satisfy my need to own them all but they are pretty great brushes too. Their eye brushes I use almost daily and would highly recommend - their face brushes? Not so much. I am really, really not a fan of the traingle foundation brush and if I had any sense at all I wouldn't have picked up the concealer version, but sense most certainly isn't my strong point and I wanted it. #YOLO. I'm cringing at myself - don't worry.

I was so disappointed with the array of these Anastasia Beverly Hills lipsticks in Sephora, it was very nearly worthy of having a little cry, but on a second trip I managed to grab this one which is 'Sad Girl' - a metallic blackened cherry. I'll be getting round to doing a review of it soon but it's gorgeous, perfect for Autumn and I love it. A lot.

The only Sephora own brand purchase I made. Nudes for A/W are my favourite so I went with these 3. All pink toned nudes perfect for pairing with the copious amounts of khaki and burgundy coloured clothes I'll undoubtedly be wearing. The formula seems pretty good so far, I haven't worn any of them for long enough to comment on longevity but you'll most likely be seeing at least one of them in a nail favourites very soon - I like 'em.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love these eyeshadows. They are the absolutely most beautiful formula of any other eyeshadow I've ever used and I have high hopes for one day owning every single one. I will for sure be dedicating an entire post to these so you can more appreciate just how bloody gorgeous they are!

On to base stuff! I have wanted to try the HD foundation for an eternity so I made the most of my opportunity to be colour matched and finally, it's mine. I'm haven't tried it yet and I'm desperately praying it lives up to the hype.

Being an avid wearer of the Born This Way foundation it only made logical sense to try out the concealer too. I've only used this once so far but it seems like it could be in the running to replace my beloved UD naked skin concealer.

Too Faced Melted Mattes; Drop Dead Red, Cool Girl, Child Star & Lady Balls £19

And last but not least the Melted Mattes from Too Faced. These have been at the top of my "to buy immediately" list since they launched. They were a pain in the butt to try and get in the UK for the first few months but I managed to get 'Lady Balls' (the red shade) in Paris and picked up the rest from Debenhams over the weekend. I've only tested out Lady Balls, but so far they seem amazing. The formula is incredible and I can see these being products I reach for a lot, even with dry lip season coming upon us so that's saying something. I'll be doing a review of these too - stay tuned.

What have you bought recently? Have you tried any of these?

  7. Such a fab haul, you got so many nice beauty products! I have both the UD concealer and the Too Faced born this way, and I much prefer the UD concealer for me the too faced one doesn't have the coverage or the longevity :( I really want to try the Too Faced melted matte's though, they look gorgeous! x
