What I'm Watching #3

Supernatural
Where has this been all my life?! Werewolves, vampires, ghosts, love stories, family drama and THE TWO HOTTEST MEN ON THE PLANET?! If that doesn't tempt you then there must be something wrong with you.. (joking - kind of). I only really started watching this last year around October and I'm all caught up and waiting for it's return after it's mid season hiatus. This show has everything a girl could ask for and I love it. A lot.

Criminal Minds
I only started watching this a couple of weeks ago and I'm already on season 9. It's about the FBI solving crimes by profiling/analysing the behaviour of the murderer, rapist, terrorist or whatever awful thing someone can be and solving the crime and catching the bad guy. Think CSI but a trillion times better and less predictable. This show fills my addiction for documentaries and great tv shows all in one. It's addictive and I have been hooked since the first episode. Annoyingly it's only on the american Netflix and Amazon Prime Video but if you can watch it - do!

Gotham
Like Arrow, this isn't something I thought I'd enjoy. It's set in pre Batman Gotham and focuses more on Detective Gordon as a character and the crime in the city. It features a few familiar names like The Penguin, Harvey Dent etc but isn't superhero-esque at all. I really enjoyed it for what it was and I'm looking forward to the second season.

Pretty Little Liars
It's back! I haven't had a chance to watch any of the new season yet (so no spoilers), but when I have a couple of hours to spare I am going to binge watch it to my heart's content. If you haven't given Pretty Little Liars a chance then please do  - for your sake. It's SO GOOD.

And that's everything. Let me know what you've been watching recently or if you're as obsessed as me about any of the one's I've mentioned.

What I'm Watching #2

1. Sons Of Anarchy
Potentially my favourite TV show of all time. I LOVE it. There are 7 seasons all in all and I'm a fan of all of them. Often you find, or at least I do, that a show can lose it's mojo during the middle couple of seasons and yet this kept going strong from the first episode until the last. Featuring around the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club and the members, in particular Jax Teller played by Charlie Hunnam (aka the hottest man to ever walk the planet), it plays through gun fights, love stories, car chases, betrayal and everything inbetween. It is so good that I've started basically, sometimes literally, forcing everyone I know to watch it. It's incredible - go and watch it immediately.

2. Arrow
Based on DC Comic's Green Arrow this is a story of a vigilante trying to save his city. Usually I'm not a fan of superhero related stuff but I was obsessed with this. Oliver Queen, the main character, his father and his girlfriend's sister (naughty, naughty) were on his family's boat - The Queen's Gambit when it crashed. They survived and as they floated in the sea in a life boat his father gave him a notebook full of the names of all the people that have wronged the city of Starling, and left it to Oliver to bring the city redemption before shooting himself. I'm not going to give you any more spoilers but from there it just gets better and better. The backstory to Oliver and his family, combined with his Arrow persona in the present day kept me hooked, so much so that I managed to watch 3 whole seasons in one week. Each season is 22 episodes long so I hope that gives you an idea of how addictive it is/insane I am. The first episode is a bit meh if I'm honest, so stick with it until episode 3 - you'll be as hooked as I was.

3. Parks and Recreation
I really love having an easy to watch series on the go to have on in the background and this is a great candidate for that. I laughed out loud a lot and found myself stopping what I was doing to just sit and watch each episode. Amy Poehler is amazing and if no other reason you should watch this for her. My personal favourite character though is Ron Swanson, who I'm pretty sure is my spirit animal. If you like light hearted comedy then this is one for you.

Special mention goes to Ghost Adventures which I've been loving recently. It freaks me out massively but I can't stop watching it. I am desperately trying to stop watching it before I go to bed though because I've been refusing to leave my bedroom without the lights on for fear of being attacked by a shadow figure but apart from that, it's great!

What have you been watching recently? Do you have a favourite TV show of all time?

What I'm Watching #1

I am completely addicted to TV shows. I genuinely enjoy nothing more than being in my pyjamas
with a cup of tea watching endless episodes of whatever I'm currently obsessed with. Over the past year I've managed to get through quite a few series and decided to share my favourites with you just in case you have some time to spare/waste.

1. The Vampire Diaries
If you haven't seen this show yet then you're more behind the times than I am and that's saying something. I'd heard about this ages ago and shrugged it off as another american teen drama but, oh my god was I wrong. This is currently around half way through season 6 but the first 4 seasons are available on Netflix. It has vampires, werewolves, hybrids, witches, travellers, hunters and the best looking brothers in TV history. Matt and Jeremy aren't bad either I suppose. The story lines are great and original and I am in love with everything about this show.
Watch it - you won't be disappointed.

2. The Originals
What a beautiful transition. This show is a spin off of The Vampire Diaries solely about the family of original vampires and their home town of New Orleans. Klaus is the main character with his brother Elijah who is constantly fixing his mistakes and saving the day and their sister Rebekah thrown in for emotional outbursts and witty remarks. It's 3 seasons long so far and the first season is available on Netflix.

3. Orange Is The New Black
I'm sure pretty much everyone has watched this by now. It's amazing - so amazing in fact that I devoted a post to it last year just after season 2 came out. It's about a woman called Piper Chapman who is sent to prison for being caught up in a drug smuggling affair whilst in a relationship with her then girlfriend Alex Vause. Who just so ends up being in the same prison.
This show captures every emotion possible and throws it at you in a perfectly executed mess. All of the actors are brilliant and there isn't one episode so far that I've been disappointed by. If you haven't already, go and watch this. Both seasons are available on Netflix.

4. American Horror Story
This is so good I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's the best TV show ever. Feel free to disagree but I don't think anyone can say that this isn't pretty incredible. It's 4 seasons long and currently still on the 4th season which was meant to be the last but there is a season 5 in the works - yay!
Each season has almost the same cast every time with different characters, story line and settings and they are all as equally terrifying and amazing. And by terrifying I mean the story line and situations not so much that the show is actually scary despite the title, so for all of you that hate horror films you should be okay with this one. I'm not making any promises though.
The first 3 seasons are available on Netflix.

And they are all my favourite TV shows that I've watched and loved over the past few months. Of course all of these are well known shows so if you have seen any of them we can fangirl in the comments together.

As for shows that have ended that I've loved I'd recommend;
Lost - Mind numbingly confusing but absolutely brilliant.
The Office U.S - Hilarious, enough said.
Scrubs - My favourite TV show of all time.
Friends - Undoubtedly the best.
