I took a trip to Manchester/Wigan this week to see some family and managed to sneak in a trip to Primark while I was there. It will forever deeply sadden me that Primark doesn't have an online store but I'm sure that most of our bank accounts are more than grateful that they don't.

A Little Gem*
The lovely people at Gemporia contacted me and asked if I'd like to review one of their gorgeous pieces. If you know me at all you'll be well aware that simplicity is my ultimate love affair, so as soon as I saw this on their website I got butterflies.

Ankle Boots Anonymous
ASOS End Of The World Ankle Boots £55 - link
Hi I'm Aimey and I'm addicted to ankle boots. I would say it's become a problem but how can owning too many pairs of beautiful ankle boots be a problem?! I got these from ASOS last week and haven't stopped wearing them since.
I have so many pairs of plain black boots (and every other kind - hence the addiction) and even though I wear them so frequently I get bored of the lack of variation. I always opt for black because it goes with everything, especially in my wardrobe, so when I find a pair that are a little different I'm over the moon. I love how simple these are but still are a different take on an otherwise pretty standard, boring boot. The wooden look soles really break up an outfit, add texture and I'm just all round in love with them. They're not super comfortable as they're quite a strange fit, on me at least, with the heel being pretty snug but fitting well everywhere else. The block heel is a good height at around 4 inches but with the platform and the shape of the heel they are a breeze to walk in.
What do you think of ankle boots? What shoes do you wear most in A/W?
Have a look at the ankle boots wishlist I did HERE.

Ankle Boots Wishlist
I bloody well love a good pair of ankle boots. You most likely won't see me without them as soon as the leaves change to magical shades of yellow and brown. They are the perfect addition to an A/W wardrobe and here are a few of the ones that are currently sitting pretty in my wishlist.
I have 6 pairs already but variety is the spice of life and in an ideal world I would love to have a pair for every outfit in my wardrobe.
Do you share my love of ankle boots? What shoes do you opt for most in A/W?

Autumn Fashion Wishlist
- Grey Boots - Khaki Utility Shirt - Boyfriend Blazer - Dress - Suede Skirt - Burgundy Bag - Tan Boots -
I don't know about you but I couldn't be happier that September is finally here. Not only does that mean that Christmas is only 3 months away but we are soon to be overwhelmed in choices of ankle boots and hundreds of shades of burgundy.
I love everything about Autumn, but the fashion in particular. Dark colours make up most of my wardrobe all year round anyway so when stores are stocked full of them, I'm in absolute heaven.
These are a few of my choices I've found on my annual hunt for my winter wardrobe. I'm really in love with these button up skirts, I've seen them in lots of variations of brown but I think this black one would go with more, especially from my wardrobe. You can't go wrong with a bit of monochrome!
What's your favourite thing about Autumn? Have you started shopping for any Autumn additions to your wardrobe?

4 Outfits: Florals
Despite the fact that, sadly, we seem to be coming towards the end of Summer in the UK I thought it could be helpful to give you some ideas on how to style florals. Not by any means are floral prints difficult to style, but I think they can sometimes be intimidating. I for one have definitely been a walking fashion faux pas dressed head to toe in floral in my younger years. It was most definitely not a good look. Florals are also a great way to transition between summer and autumn especially when paired with darker colours. I hope you enjoy/find this post in any way useful!
Look #1: Top, Shorts, Shoes, Hat
Look #2: Top, Trousers, Boots, Bag
Look #3: Top, Shorts, Boots, Clutch, Sunglasses, Necklace

4 Outfits: Playsuits
This style of post seemed to go down pretty well the last time I did one (which you can read here if you're interested) so I thought I'd do another one!
I really love playsuits and think they're a great piece to have in your wardrobe, I'd even go so far as to say they're a staple. They're so versatile and easy to style and there's one to suit everyone. It's taken me a long time to feel comfortable enough to wear something like this but recently I just can't be bothered to care what people might think of me and I'm just gonna go for it! If you're like me and you don't feel confident in wearing things like this either, then I hope you get the courage to do it because I know you'll look wonderful.

I hope you like this post and it gives you some inspiration on how to style playsuits this summer.
Are you a fan of playsuits? What have you been wearing a lot recently?

4 Outfits: Kimonos
Not really the most difficult piece to style as it is essentially a more summery cardigan but sometimes it can look a little out of place and almost frumpy because of the shape so just in case you need a little inspiration I thought I'd share with you some of the outfits I think a kimono is the perfect finishing touch.
Look 1: Kimono, Top, Shorts, Shoes
Look 2: Kimono, Top, Jeans, Bag
Look 3: Kimono, Top, Jeans, Bag, Shoes
Look 4: Kimono, Top, Shorts, Sunglasses
As I say with all fashion posts I attempt, I'm sorry for my severe lack of colour and creativity when it comes to clothing, I'm a huge fan of simple fashion (clearly).
I hope this helped to give you some inspiration anyway! I'm definitely going shopping tomorrow to pick up the kimono in look one, I love it.
Are you a fan of kimonos?

High Street Spring Outfits
Pair with: Sheer lips & a messy bun
Look #3: Wrap Cami - Boyfriend Jeans - Blazer - Bag
Pair with: Beachy waves & comfy flats
Look #4: Hat - Top - Jeans - Clutch - Shoes
Pair with: Berry lips & midi rings
I tried so hard to stay away from monochrome but, clearly, I failed miserably. I was more aiming for the style of clothes that I think will be great for Spring this year and I think it's best that I leave the colour choices to you.
I love having a look at what people pick from the highstreet and how they style pieces for different
seasons and occassions etc so I thought I would attempt my own take at that style of post. I've said it a hundred times but my taste in fashion is pretty boring and I usually stick to basic colours with only a few statement items dotted around my wardrobe for when I'm feeling brave. I have no idea why I've convinced myself that I can't pull of certain types or colours of clothes but I'm slowly getting there. I definitely have hope for the Summer anyway!
What's the main colour theme in your wardrobe?
Do you usually go safe with monochrome or brave and bold?

Fashion Trends For Spring 2015
Despite my wardrobe being incredibly and almost offensively boring and monochrome I love seeing what's coming up in the fashion world for the different seasons.
I will admit that I am one of those people that impulse buys a bright green floral jumper that I'll never wear in a million years just because it's in fashion. I know, I know this is one of the biggest shopping no no's but sometimes I just can't help myself - it's dangerously close to being an addiction.
So if you're interested in what's coming up for Spring like I am then this post is for you. I'm fully aware that we aren't even done with January yet but the sun's shining in London today and I felt hopeful for nicer weather. We'll just ignore that it was snowing here 2 days ago.
Florals
They're coming back! Not that I really think they ever left and especially in Spring - the highstreet is usually overflowing with floral stuff and this year will be no different and in all shapes and sizes too. From ditsy prints to neon roses. I'm not really a huge fan of florals but I'm looking forward to seeing if there'll be anything to convince me this year.
Gingham
I think we saw a bit of this last Summer or at least I remember a pair of Topshop jeans in this pattern that sold out like hotcakes. This year you can expect it on dresses and trousers (and hopefully Topshop jeans again). I'm hoping there'll be something out there for us monochrome lovers with this particular trend although I'm sensing a lot of pastels.
Trouser Suits
These have been around for a while and are apparently making their big debut in the Spring. I'm not sold on these at all as, to be honest, I just don't think I can pull them off but these were all up and down the catwalk at the start of this year.
Boho
Prints, bags, dresses. The 'boho' style is meant to be everywhere this Spring and this is the only one that I'm actually excited for. I love the style and usually wear it by adding a few pieces to my otherwise bland outfit. ASOS are already doing a variety of dresses in this style and a few of them have made their way into my basket in preparation for the warmer months, if it actually ever does warm up in London.
Shirt Dresses
The perfect way to look casual and put together at the same time. I think these look great and are so easy to wear it's unbelievable. Pair it with ankle boots, heels or sandals and you can transition your look for pretty much any occasion. I'm definitely sold on these and can see myself wearing them a lot.
Colour of the season: Yellow
Let me know if you liked this style of post and if you're an impulse buyer too so we can feel less guilty together.
Would you wear any of these trends?

9 Wardrobe Staples
Black Blazer
Perfect to put on top of any outfit and as an alternative to a cardigan. I have this one and practically live in it. It's warm enough for chilly afternoons and casual enough for lunch dates. I love it.
Striped Top
A wardrobe basic. It goes with pretty much everything and everyone needs one. This one is only £8.99 from New Look but you can find them anywhere and everywhere.
White Jeans
Again, they go with everything. They're easy to wear and even easier to plan an outfit around. I've heard good things about these ones from Topshop and they're high waisted which is always a good thing in my books.
Pair of Ankle Boots
Perfect with a pair of jeans in the Winter and just as great with a dress in the Summer. I live in ankle boots and think every wardrobe should have at least one pair. New Look do really lovely and completely affordable shoes and a great choice of ankle boots or a search of 'chelsea boots' on eBay will give you more options than you know what to do with.
Pendant Necklace
Pendant necklaces are a lot more subtle than all the statement necklaces floating around at the moment. They still add something and tie an outfit together but are a little more understated. I always go for silver and this one's my favourite from Forever 21. They do great jewellery and accessories in general so go and have a look.
Little Black Dress
An absolute essential. The amount of times this will save you when a surprise party pops up is amazing. I much prefer the plainer side of the little black dress but as long as it's black you can go crazy with the rest of it.
Oversized Bag
You will need one for something. Whether it's for the beach or just having enough room for an umbrella for a rainy London day, it will come in handy at some point. There's a million choices for an oversized bag and you can pretty much get one from anywhere. Primark do canvas material ones for £2 if you're on a budget.
Statement Skirt
Midi, maxi, skater, bodycon, suede or polyester it doesn't matter. It doesn't even really matter that it's a skirt. Skorts were all over the place last year in all kinds of prints and they're great. It's nice to have something in your wardrobe you can dress up or down and still make a statement. Even changing your shoes will change the tone of the outfit. I love the colours in this one from Topshop but I'm a little more partial to a skater skirt.
Gladiator Sandals
There's loads and loads of heeled versions of these available but I don't think you can beat flats sometimes. I am in love with this pair from New Look and will definitely be picking them up in preparation for when it's warmer, if it ever does get warmer in London.
What's your wardrobe staple?

Silver Necklace - Tan Ankle Boots
Autumn is without a doubt my favourite time of year. I love dark colours, layering clothes and red lipstick so I'm completely in my element. Comfortable oversized jumpers are one of my all time favourite things in the world and I will probably buy the one pictured above from H&M in every colour they have. Whether you wear them on their own or put them over a shirt, everyone needs a couple of these for A/W and the same goes for ankle boots. Since my last post about ankle boots (which you can read here) I've ventured out of the world of Ebay and into New Look. They have a really great collection of shoes all for really reasonable prices, the one's above are currently sitting in my basket patiently awaiting pay day.
As for skin care, this is usually the time of the year that all of my light and brightening moisturisers find their way to the back of the draw and all of my heavier more moisturising creams make their way into my daily routine. I haven't tried Hydraluron yet although I've heard great things and I'm looking forward to giving it a try as the weather starts to ruin my skin.
Candles are of course a must and I'm really loving Ginger Spice Cookie right now. I've been burning it everyday since September started and my bedroom smells delicious.
What do you love most about Autumn?
Lots of love.

Trends for Spring/Summer 2014
Summer 2014
Hair
Hair styles of the summer bring sleek poker straight hair and head bands back from the 90's. The beach waves and loose curls are on their way out this season according to the catwalk. Personally I'm not sure if when the sun decides to come out in London I could bare straightening my hair everyday and everything in my body tells me head bands are for washing my face but who know's, maybe you will see me rocking a 5 inch wide elasticated head band. I doubt it.
Beauty
Black eyeliner never goes out of fashion and this summer the way to wear it is smudged under the eyes. It's all about it not being perfect which is great for all of us that absolutely can not do winged liner even if our lives depended on it.
Using a pencil to achieve this is probably the easiest but I guess a black eyeshadow under the lower lash line would essentially do the same thing. I usually wear a variation of this look everyday by applying 'Faint', which is a dark brown colour from my Naked Basics palette, under my lower lash line just to complete my eye look. I'm all for this trend but really always thought of it as more of a Auntumn/Winter look but I guess not.
Here are a couple of my favourite eyeliners:
Rimmel Scandal Eyes £3.99
Topshop Khol in Coal £4.00

I have always been a massive fan of bronzers so I was glad to hear that they should be overused this season. A natural bronzed looking face achieved literally by lightly applying your favourite bronzer to you whole face (and neck, you don't want to be leaving that out - trust me) is the thing to do this Summer. I always opt for a matte bronzer as I'm not a massive fan of shimmer ,no matter how subtle, so most days I use my Nars Laguna Bronzer but I find at the moment it looks just a little to dark for me so my routine involves a lot of blending. If you have any recommendations for a light bronzer please please let me know.
I would be eternally grateful.
Nail trends. Who knew they were a thing? Nail art has been the subject of controversy on the catwalk with some designers such as Marc Jacobs who seem to be a true advocate of nail art using studs to accentuate his runway outfits, but as much as they deny it natural and nude nails are creeping their way back in and I have to say, I'm all for it. Natural colours, simple patterns and french manicures are the opposing trend and have always been something I've preferred. As ridiculous as it sounds I'm never brave enough to have something extravagant on my nails so nude and pastel shades are my go to for spring especially and by far the biggest part of my collection.
My favourite nude nail polishes:
Nude Beigie
Nude Beigie
Fashion
Florals, embellishment, slogan tees and crop tops.
Florals are quite simple to wear really as they're on pretty much everything. Over the past few months they've been appearing on jeans which I think is a great way to wear them this season.
Embellishments are the new studs for S/S which I think is a nice change. I haven't seen much of this in the highstreet yet so hopefully they'll catch up before the end of summer.
I'm on the fence with slogan tees. I can't tell if you're meant to wear them ironically or not so I haven't really bothered. The only one that hangs lonely in my wardrobe is one I got from Zara last year which isn't in stock anymore but I found a replica here.
There are hundreds more trends to accompany this season but these are the ones I thought most applied to everyone.
What do you think of these trends for the upcoming months?
Lots of love.
